Vanguard is a NON-competition festival and marching band showcase featuring some of the hardest working and talented young people dedicated to the marching band experience.  Each band performs individually to offer an engaging and exciting presentation of their school’s music program. In addition to the showcase is the scouting combine. College band directors from around the country are invited as special VIP guests of Band Room Nation. As guests they receive Band Room Nation’s official booklet of performing junior and senior musicians, and their stats for recruiting purposes. Both Musical Youth Of America, Inc. and Band Room Nation’s efforts are predicated on providing post secondary education opportunities for music students, and providing the opportunity for them to reap the many benefits of  music education.

Immerse yourself in the action with a Vanguard All Access Field Pass. Vanguard is a NON-competition festival and marching band showcase featuring some of the hardest working and talented young people dedicated to the marching band experience.  Each band performs individually to offer an engaging and exciting presentation of their school’s music program.

The drum line has always been known as the heart beat of the band and now Band Room Nation presents to you, the most exhilarating, heart pumping drum line competition in the south east.  The CADENCE Percussion Challenge pits some of the south east’s most notable percussion sections against each other in what will soon be hailed as the “Superbowl” of drum line competitions. Each drum line will take the floor in exhibition and the top 2 scoring groups will then face off, for 2 rounds of high energy creative routines for a grand prize of $500.

SRDC is a high energy adjudicated competition that provides an opportunity for the community to foster an appreciation for the art of dance. High school dance lines from all over the Metro-Atlanta area, and southeast United States, vie for a $1000 grand prize and trophy. Furthermore, they get to showcase their talent, all they have learned & practiced to provide all in attendance a diverse and exuberant spectrum of what dance line culture is about.

If you are unable to attend an event, and would still like to support our cause you can purchase a Donation Ticket for just $5. Band Room Nation/Musical Youth Of America offer these free tickets to children from low income families, middle school band students, or honor roll students. This is a great way to support and offer a great experience to unsuspecting kids.

Band Room Nation was formed in 2010 as a result of the massive budget cuts occurring in the public school systems. As a result many public school music programs throughout the country have been eliminated altogether, or grossly under funded to the point of being on life support.

Band Room Nation's mission is to support and promote high school music programs across the country. We accomplish our goals by promoting music related events throughout the school year, providing income opportunities for band programs, donating prize money, and by donating scholarship money.

Although we're certainly up for the challenge we cannot do it alone. It takes a village. We've created the vehicle. Now we need corporations and individuals to help us continue moving forward. Your donations help to defray operating cost, aid in promoting events, and provide scholarship aid. Donations are made to the parent company, Musical Youth Of America.
